Simple code reviews for every GitHub pull request

code-review.com reads each pull request when you open it and again after every push, then posts its findings as a comment. Open source, built on PR-Agent and OpenCode, running on your own model key.

What code-review.com does, in 26 seconds. With sound.

Your pull request is waiting. Again.

You opened it before lunch. By the time someone looks, it is tomorrow, and the first comment is about a missing null check you would have caught yourself. code-review.com takes that first pass on every pull request, so your teammates can spend their review on design and intent instead of typos.

What you get

  • Every pull request gets reviewed.

Reviews start when a pull request opens, is marked ready, or gets new commits. Drafts wait until you mark them ready.

  • Short reviews you can act on.

By default a review lists at most five findings. You can raise that to 30 per project, add your own project rules, and turn on inline comments.

  • Your model, your bill.

You bring your own OpenRouter key and choose the model per workspace or per project. Token costs go straight to your provider, with nothing added on top.

  • Ask for a review whenever you like.

Comment /review on a pull request, or press "Review now" in the app. Every run shows up with its status on the Runs page.

Every pull request gets a review. Even the one you pushed on Friday at 6:47 pm.

Three steps to your first review

  1. Step 1: Connect GitHub.

Sign up, install the code-review.com GitHub App on the repositories you pick, and switch on the ones you want reviewed.

  2. Step 2: Add your model key.

Paste your OpenRouter key under Settings, LLM access, and press "Test key". The key is stored encrypted and never shown again.

  3. Step 3: Open a pull request.

The review arrives as a comment on the pull request. The Runs page in the app shows every review with its status, who started it, and a link to the comment.

Built in the open

  • Standing on PR-Agent.

Diff Review, the engine behind every review today, runs on PR-Agent by Qodo, a widely used open source review engine. code-review.com adds the GitHub App, workspaces, settings and the Runs page around it.

A second review engine built on OpenCode. It reads your repository, read only, rule files included, so a review knows how your project does things. Not available yet.

Questions developers ask us

What is code-review.com?

code-review.com is an open source bot that reviews GitHub pull requests with AI. Today it runs PR-Agent on each pull request and posts the review as a comment. A second engine built on OpenCode is coming soon. Today you run it on your own server; a hosted version is coming soon.

How does an AI code review on GitHub work?

A GitHub App tells code-review.com when a pull request opens or changes. code-review.com queues a review job, a runner reads the changes of the pull request, asks the model you chose for a review, and posts the result on the pull request.

Which code hosts does it support?

GitHub only, for now. It connects through a GitHub App that you install on the repositories you want reviewed.

Which AI models can I use?

Any model you can reach through OpenRouter with your own key. You set the model for a whole workspace and can change it for single projects.

What happens to my code?

To review a pull request, the runner reads its changes from GitHub and sends them to the model you chose through OpenRouter. Your OpenRouter key is stored encrypted. If your code must not leave your servers except for the model call, host code-review.com yourself: the runner then talks only to GitHub, OpenRouter and your own app.

What does it cost?

The open source version is free to use, copy and change. The hosted version is coming soon and will be priced to cover its own costs, not to make big money. Model usage is billed by your provider to your own key, so you always see what the reviews cost. The plans of the hosted version are on the pricing page.

Can I host it myself?

Yes. The repository has a Docker Compose setup with two containers, the web app and the runner, and a step by step deployment guide. You need a GitHub App and an OpenRouter key.

Can I start a review by hand?

Yes. Comment /review on a pull request, or pick an open pull request in the app and press "Review now".

Can I tell it about our coding rules?

Yes. Each project has a field for extra instructions where you describe your rules in plain words, up to 4000 characters. They go into every review of that project.

Does it replace human code review?

No. It takes the first pass: bugs, missing checks, unclear code. A person still decides whether the change is right for your product.

What is Dynamic Review?

A second review engine we are building on OpenCode, an open source coding agent. It reads your repository, read only, including your rule files, so its reviews can follow your conventions. It is not available yet.

Who builds code-review.com?

Itegro GmbH, a small software company from Geretsried near Munich. We built it because our own startup needed it, and we release it as open source.

No lock in. code-review.com is open source. If the hosted version stops fitting, run the same software on your own server.

Ready for your first review?

Connect a repository, open a pull request, and see what code-review.com finds.

code-review.com is still in the making

We are building the hosted version right now. Until it is ready, you can run the open source version yourself.
